Choosing a Bible College.

Which Bible College should I go to? With so many great Bible Colleges available around the world it can get a bit overwhelming trying to find the Bible College that is best for you.
I remember when I first felt called to go to Bible College. I knew i was called to go, but wasn't sure where to start. I searched for Bible Colleges online but could find no real help (hence the reason why i later started this website :). Eventually I found the right college for me after months of searching.
It was a big step which included giving up a well paid job, but i knew it was the right thing for me to do. Here's some quick thoughts on what I learned where important things for me to consider before choosing a Bible College.
1) Does the Bible College line up with what you feel God is calling you to do? For example there's no point going to a Bible College that specializes in Music when you feel called to community work.
2) Does the Bible College carry similar values to you?
3) Have you done some background research on the Bible College to make sure its got a good track record? A simple google search with help in this process.
4) Do you have peace about the Bible College you are looking at attending? Phil 4:6-7 talks about a peace that comes upon you that goes past your understanding. The peace that you feel on the inside. If you can learn to live according to this God given peace, then you will know that it's a God thing!
Once you have followed these steps, you should get a better idea of whether the Bible College you are looking at is right for you. I know my time at Bible College was life changing. I hope your is too!

Helping People find Hope

2009 seems to be a season of uncertainty and the unknown, especially when it comes to the economy. Many people are looking at how to invest their resources more effectively, looking at ways to stay upbeat with so much talk of doom and gloom. It seems that people from all over the world aren't just looking into stocks and bonds, but an increasing amount are investing in inner health and and finding a bigger purpose.
According to ChristianConferenceSearch.com "over the past 12 months there has been an increase in attendees in Christian Conferences, not just in the US but also in Europe and Asia." When asked why this is, he says that "more and more people want to look to a higher hope, and obtain that deeper sense of peace that they are reminded of at these conferences".
It seems that Christian Conferences aren't the only place where people are finding peace and purpose. According to BibleCollegeGuide.com, enrollments at Bible Colleges and Christian Universities have increased, especially over 2008 and leading into 2009. "people are re-evaluating their priorities, thinking about and investing into their futures rather than just thinking about today".
